Mommy and daddy will always love and miss you. We appreciate every second we got to spend with you, no matter how short it was. No one will be able to explain what happened, but the time was yours. We have a beautiful daughter that had mommy's nose and daddy's brows. We have a daughter that will always grow in our hearts. We have a daughter that will always be special, nothing can take that from us. Hopefully, we touched you as much as you touched us. There is a tremendous pain that makes this hard and we will always struggle, but we know you were a fighter and gave it your all. Always know that we too gave it our all.
Today, is your scheduled due date. We will celebrate it together and never forget. While only 5 months, it has felt like a lifetime since we touched you last. We will spend a lifetime celebrating your life. Remember we will always be yours as we remember you will always be ours. This is so beautifully written. I have never lost a child but my cousin and dearest friend has. What helps her get through his birthday, even 13 years later, is amazing. She buys a gift that is appropriate for the age her son Joseph would be turning, wraps it up and gives it to a random little boy arty the store or park. To the parent she hands a small note explaining why a stranger just gave her boy a gift.
ReplyDeleteShe honors her greatest joy and deals with her toughest sorrow (his birthday was the day he passed as well) by giving.
I don't know if that helps or hurts or both, but it is a great way to keep her memory alive. Good bless you and your family.
Thank you very much. The kind words of others always helps. Thankfully we will be at 26 weeks with Hazel on Friday! We have gotten to a good place mentally and physically and appreciate the support we have gotten from family friends and others.
