I've been working on a new Android application. I haven't put as much time into this one as some of the others but I wanted to get some beta testers trying it out. This link will send you to google docs where you can download it to your Android phone: Bze Slots!

My First Father's Day

I'm confused. I'm proud, but not sure how to feel. I'm an emotional man, but completely out of touch with my emotions since my daughter was taken away from our lives. Today, I should be holding her in my arms. I should be feeding her and tickling her. It should be a weekend of celebration, but in my heart it is far from that. I usually need answers, but quickly realized this was one thing that will never be answered. Why was she taken? It makes no sense. Two loving parents that would have done anything for their child. Now, every little face reminds me of her and what could have been. Every tear I could have wiped away. Every smile I could have captured. Every hug I could have squeezed.

There's 'help' at every corner, "Let me know what I can do for you." I hated hearing these words, but heard it from everyone. I know it was probably hard for them too. What do you say to a parent that has lost a child? You can't tell someone you know what it's like to lose a child unless you have. Usually when my emotions overwhelm me I like my space, but telling people to leave me alone didn't feel right. So, my "thank you" appeased their struggle of what to say, but denied me any type of the same.

I'm usually a happy person. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I don't want to burden people with my story, but I want people to know. I want people to know what I'm going through without having to discuss it.  I want people to know how beautiful my daughter was without asking to see pictures. I just want things to have been different...

Dear Emma Elizabeth Brown,

Mommy and daddy will always love and miss you. We appreciate every second we got to spend with you, no matter how short it was. No one will be able to explain what happened, but the time was yours. We have a beautiful daughter that had mommy's nose and daddy's brows. We have a daughter that will always grow in our hearts. We have a daughter that will always be special, nothing can take that from us. Hopefully, we touched you as much as you touched us. There is a tremendous pain that makes this hard and we will always struggle, but we know you were a fighter and gave it your all. Always know that we too gave it our all.

Today, is your scheduled due date. We will celebrate it together and never forget. While only 5 months, it has felt like a lifetime since we touched you last. We will spend a lifetime celebrating your life. Remember we will always be yours as we remember you will always be ours. Look after your future siblings, you will always be the beautiful big sis as we grow our family.

Thank you family and friends that have always supported us, especially through such times.

Tiny Emma, we love you ~ January 14, 2013 - January 16, 2013

Dear Kim,

Your first Mother's Day,
Not sure what to say.
A bittersweet present,
Without our daughter present.
She's been taken,
But never forsaken.
In both our hearts,
From start,
To finish.
We may always fish,
For the reason.
But never easing,
Is the answer.
It's a cancer,
That'll tear us.
So we must,
Strive on.
Stay strong.
For her.
For a cure,
That'll stop the pain.
That'll stop the strain.
Remember you and I,
Will again try and try.
We have love to share,
She knows we care,
And always will,
Even with a new Jill or Bill.

I love you both, Happy Mother's Day.

A Day (Plus Many More) With Solavei

So far so good. Not sure if everyone's first concern is the fact that it is a prepaid plan or the quality of the voice and data provided, but it seems the consensus is thought that since it is on the T-Mobile towers you will receive the same quality that they provide. Not sure if this is quite the case. Sometimes I feel like the Solavei chip falls into the 3g more often than T-Mobile, then other days I don't. Ultimately it is hard to tell since I have to swap out chips and the process takes a while with out side by side testing of the two chips. At least I am able to test the exact same phone with all the same settings, apps and such. Overall call quality and data has been fine. I'm a heavy phone user, but not sure I would be classified as a power user. I average about 3 to 4 gigs of data a month. Since I'm knowingly trying to test out Solavei I may just be over using it a bit more than usual but speeds seem to keep up when I go to my favorite sites: espn, engadget, and androidandme ( your favorite porn sites will probably use up more data than these, not suggesting my readers watch porn, just mentioning a theory). Youtube runs good with little to no buffering.

I'm overall satisfied with Solavei. I don't use voice often if at all, possibly 50 minutes a month on average with hardly ever topping 100. Being with T-Mobile myself already and Solavei being on the same towers there is little to no difference in the quality for me. Where the difference comes in is the cost. Switching to Solavei is going to save my wife and I mucho dollares. With fear of T-Mobile's potential new plans I have started saving up my android income and hopefully can start dropping contracts in the next few months. Solavei is criticized as being a pyramid scheme and wrongfully so since a scheme would mean that there is no product or service. With Solavei there is a service and it is actually just as good as the others out there, but cheaper and with a potential to make money. I don't want to sell anyone on making money with it. Sure you can if you are the business sabby individual that wants to put their full time into it, but I want to suggest it to you for the cheap cell phone service that it is. If you are not bound by contract give it a try, if you are bound forget this article and move on. If I never recruit anyone, that's fine I still have unlimited everything for $50 a month. If I can get 3 people to join and stay with it, then I got unlimited everything for $30 a month. Should have cut down the article to the last two sentences and been done, nuff said.

Solavei

I'm giving Solavei a test run. I've been intrigued by the service for a few months and finally got the sense to go for it. Whether you've heard of it or not I'm going to go over it below. I've been contemplating breaking contract with T-Mobile for well over a year now and almost did last year when I got anxious for a new phone. So instead I upgrade for two more years to get the HTC One S. Shortly after doing so I found the Solavei service and regretted the upgrade.

First off, it's a cell phone service. Unlimited everything for $49 a month, plus tax. It's a non-contract prepaid plan. So far all of this is pretty conventional for unlimited prepaid mumbo jumbo. If all you want is a cheap unlimited service than go no further, but what seems to set this apart from other companies is the chance to earn money back. Set up like a pyramid scheme, each user gets a chance to make money off each other user they sign up for the service, and then each user they sign up and so on. Yea, some businesses get in big trouble and immediately are labeled as a scam, but this service is actually something people use. Who do you know that doesn't own a cell phone? How many of your buddies have a phone with out a data plan? Which of the four post paid companies are you shelling out loads of cash to?

Again, this is a cheap plan with the potential to earn money. The service uses T-Mobile bands and since I already know they provide good service in the area I'm going to assume that my same phone will do just fine, but I guess that's why I'm giving it a test run first. However, even if the voice quality is poor I will probably continue to use the service. I hardly talk on the phone, so unlimited calling is surely useless for me, but my wife will probably take advantage. I'm probably going to stick with the service through any potential issues they may have as long as I'm making some extra cash. Like a cheap app with ads, I'm willing to put up with more due to my cheap ways.

So, to sum it up. I'm testing out a cheap cell phone service called Solavei. With it I'm not going to have to worry about contracts, going over minutes data or messages, or spending way too much money. If you want to find out more about the service you can either email me or head over to my sign up page.

Oh, and encase you might care, I have been working on a major update for Colors by Numbers! Don't hold your breathe (because you may pass out) but I'm hoping it will come out soon. Thought I should let people know I'm still in the developing game, just took another one of my long ass hiatuses!
